Art…
I explore some art…

Beunos Aires
After visiting a few musea, a few works really hit my gut…
First I meet a shy Monk…a beautiful Medieval woodcarving:
Then a Camo Christ:
A devil:
The Minotaur:
A ball of wire:
…and a happy accident:
The I get mugged for the first time in all my years of travel…I loose my passport, flight tickets, cellphone, my most precious book of poetry and Ipod. Police, a visit to SAA and the SA Embassy, I have a flight back home and will have an emergency passport on Wednesday… At the moment I am an angel without identity, it is kind of great. I do not exist - persona non grata… Buenos Aires is a hard city, and not for the unseasoned traveller… I have been all over Africa, and never lost the smallest item…and it was a woman!!! So I take this in my stride, and hope the real magic will be found at the Iguazy falls over the weekend…one of the seven wonders of the world…I cannot wait…
Then I discovered the famous San Telmo!

Waking up from a blissful summer sleep…
Monday, January 14th, 2008
After a truly good rest, my muse is playing in my gardens again. I am exited, as I had a very full and tiring year last year. My first three works for 2008 is entitled: Small Death I - III. These works were created here in Buenos Aires specifically for my exhibition at Focus Contemporary in March 2008. I am investigating masculinity and gender identity from a much more personal position; the three new works are therefor all self-portraits. I intend to print and present each one quite large in a round format.
Small Death I:
Small Death II:
Small Death III:
This is a great point of departure, but I intend to draw and paint on some of the photographic images in multiple layers.
